What diners say
I go here for lunch as often as I can. The dumplings are supremely good, and the fried rice is always fluffy, rich, and full of flavour. The location is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it suits the market perfectly and is a great contributor to the bustling culinary atmosphere of the Village. Definitely worth a try if you're passing!

I had been putting off going here as the reviews were not great. But we had an enjoyable and especially cheap meal here. My husband absolutely loved his spare ribs, they were fall off the bone tender. My veggie noodle soup had fresh noodles, tasty mushroom and fantastic tofu, however flavorful the soup was too oily for me. It was a great portion size and left me full. I can't complain about getting a main meal for under £10 as well!

Ordered food from Mamalan on Deliveroo. Firstly the delivery took a very long time. Whilst checking the tracking system there were a number of times drivers were assigned but yet when they arrived the food was not ready, leading to release of drivers. It was frustrating to get food more than an hour after the order on this occasion. The food was ok but not exceptional. Cucumber felt lack of seasoning. The dumplings were quite dry. The noodle was fine but again the broth was quite weak in seasoning and the beef did not feel very good quality.
