What diners say
I've been eating here since it reopened as a gastro pub. I've always been a fan and the food has always been great. We had a meal last night and I must admit if anything it's improved. The menu is comprehensive without being bewildering and the quality and taste was fantastic. Top marks to the kitchen. In my opinion definitely the best place locally to get a top quality meal.

Delicious, good value food and friendly, attentive service. The bavette steak was excellent, as was the schnitzel and the endive salad. Enjoyed the extended menu of spritz and would recommend the lavender spritz. Nice to see a pub offering a gastro inspired menu to the ubiquitous greasy burgers and chicken wings that you get at some many pubs around these parts!

Myself and my partner turned up on a Wednesday evening with no booking but the fantastic barman found us a table is seconds. We had the chicken schnitzel, truffle fries, Parmesan & rocket salad and the amazing Scotch Egg - the alioli that accompanies the egg is divine!! We were served by the wonderful Charity. An absolute joy to speak to and she provided an excellent service. Can’t wait to go back

I had an excellent meal at the Queens arms on Sunday. The crusty bread with oil and balsamic vinegar was delicious. The skate wing was beautifully cooked, with a butter and caper sauce and for £19 was excellent value. The sticky toffee pudding was moist and delicious and very moorish. The service was also warm and welcoming. Overall I would recommend and will be returning.
