A 60-room hotel on Stuart Street in central Luton, with free on-site parking and easy access to the town's transport links.

About Stuart Hotel

Sixty rooms make up the Stuart Hotel, a straightforward base on Stuart Street in central Luton. It's a practical choice for anyone passing through the town, with free on-site parking a genuine plus in a location where that's not always easy to come by.

Rooms come with air conditioning, and guests can expect comfortable beds and fresh towels as standard, along with drinks available in the room. That said, upkeep isn't always consistent, and some rooms have been found to be less well cared for than others, occasionally with a lingering smell worth being aware of. Staff are generally noted as helpful, and the hotel is considered good value for money.

Downstairs there's a restaurant, bar and snack bar, plus breakfast service, free WiFi, a lift, and meeting rooms and business services for those travelling with work in mind. Luggage storage is also available. Central Luton's transport links and attractions are within easy reach, making this a functional stopover rather than a destination in itself.

Avoid this place at all costs. By far the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. First red flag should have been that when we arrived the person checking us in immediately told us ‘if you are not happy with something i need to know because if you use anything we cant help’ so we already had the feeling there was going to be a lot to be unhappy about! The hotel advertises a bar and restaurant. Neither of which are there. This we could have made our peace with even though it was a reason for booking this hotel however it only got worse as we went to our room. The first room we were taken to had the front of the air conditioning unit on the floor and so we were then told we’ll move you to another room. Ill let the pictures of our second room speak for themselves, and the best part is despite how awful the rooms are once you speak to reception to let them know how bad it is all you get is ‘sorry about that’ no offer of any way of rectifying the issues or partial refunds, nothing. You also are not allowed the air con remote in your room you have to ask the receptionist to turn it up or down in your room by going to reception 😂 Unfortunately as we had come for a weekend exploring london we had had a few drinks by the time we checked in, had we not we would happily have driven home. This place is the pits. Rooms dirty, the carpet wasn't even attached to the floor nor the right size for the room, curtains had been hacked apart, drawings on the wall, side of the bath caved in, stains all over the end of the bed and the pillows. We were up at 7am and out the door 🤢

I would like to express my genuine disappointment and frustration with the way my 88-year-old mother and I were treated at Stuart Hotel. We arrived at approximately 10:15 p.m. and were informed that, although we had a confirmed reservation, there was no room available for us. Our booking had been made through Booking.com and was fully confirmed. To make matters worse, several guests who arrived after us were checked into the hotel. We were told that they had made their reservations before ours, which made the situation even more confusing and unacceptable. As a result, we were effectively left stranded on the street late at night in a city we had never visited before and where we knew no one. My mother has limited mobility and, at 88 years old, it was completely unreasonable to expect us to search from one hotel to another in the middle of the night. The condition of the hotel lobby was also extremely poor. The chairs were dirty, and there were empty plastic juice bottles and litter scattered across the tables and floor. It created a very unpleasant first impression and reflected a lack of basic cleanliness. What was perhaps most disappointing was the complete lack of empathy from the hotel staff. We did not even receive a simple apology for the inconvenience. Instead, we were simply told to find another hotel. This experience was completely unacceptable, and I cannot recommend Stuart Hotel Luton to anyone. I sincerely hope the hotel improves both its customer service and its booking management procedures so that no other guests have to experience the same treatment.

I was made homeless and to cut a long story short basically was lucky enough to have the funds to stay in hotel. Went here as was the cheapest. Cleaners are there daily. And always clean. Fresh towels every day Only bad thing was car park it's so expensive 15 pounds a day to have your car in car park. Also was not happy I was hit by another car and it's dented and I don't know who it was Other than that it's lovely. Comfortable beds. Big TV to watch. Shower and bath. I give 5 stars to everything. But only bad thing was the 15 pound charge for car park

The room was not so clean. The carpet looked not very clean. The toilet was dirty, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. I didn't see a good service either. That is why the price is cheap. You have to pay for the car park and that was £15 per night. The only good thing is not too far from town centre and all the amenities.
