About The Chiltern Hotel
Luton is best known as a gateway airport town, and The Chiltern Hotel makes the most of that position on Waller Avenue, within easy reach of both the airport and the town centre. With 97 rooms, it's a sizeable base for anyone passing through Bedfordshire, whether for a flight, a wedding, or a night before business elsewhere in the area.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, and family and accessible rooms are available, with a lift serving the building. Breakfast is served on site, and there's a bar for evening drinks, plus free WiFi throughout. A particular strength is the food on offer, with authentic Asian dishes such as Kabuli pulao and various curries drawing praise, served with attentive staff and a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant. That said, some guests have found certain listed facilities not always available, and beds have been described as less comfortable than expected, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly.
Practical extras include free parking, valet parking, luggage storage and a laundry service, along with a garden for some outdoor space. The hotel also functions as a wedding venue, and there are further pubs, restaurants and entertainment options nearby for guests wanting to explore beyond the property itself.
What guests say
We had few recent experiences at Chiltern hotel in Luton and no doubt all events were highly recommended. The moment you walked in, staff greeted me with genuine smiles. The atmosphere just felt right. My first experience was in Ramadan for Iftar buffet. Restaurant was cozy without being cramped and lively without being noisy. It was the kind of setting where you could enjoy your Iftar with your family and hear each other talk, which made the whole evening even better. The staff member was warm, attentive and genuinely seemed to care about our dinning experience. Food served on time, fresh and scrumptious. Staff handled guest and everything with a smile. I felt like a valued guest rather than just another customer. I enjoyed the food- everything was super delicious and you shouldn’t miss any item. Enough choices for everyone specially fussy eaters and kids. 2nd event was about new baby meet n greet Decor was accordingly and again food was highly recommended. Thanks Afsheen

We organized a small family gathering of approx 60 people at this hotel restaurant on 2 May 2026. Firstly the venue is very grand, with spacious free car parks and very well decorated. The food was very delicious, presented well with good portions. I think all my family praised the taste of food and deserts. My special thanks to head chef N Ali, who took personal touch in not only food but in overall execution of whole event. Thank you N Ali and your team.

Attended the Iftar party this past Sunday to homer our volunteers at DesiFest Luton and had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, with perfectly spiced and authentic. The spread was varied and well-presented, making for a great evening. The atmosphere was welcoming and the hall was in pristine condition. A special thanks to the Event Manager Mehreen and staff who were incredibly cooperative and helpful throughout the evening. Plus, having free parking on-site was a huge bonus. Highly recommend for group Iftars.

I recently attended an event at the Chiltern Hotel and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. The venue itself is elegant, well-maintained, and perfectly suited for hosting both formal and social gatherings. The staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and welcoming throughout the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and they were always ready to assist with a smile. The food was another highlight—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Guests were genuinely impressed with both the quality and variety offered. The ambiance of the hall created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making the event even more memorable. Overall, the Chiltern Hotel exceeded expectations in every aspect. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and impressive venue for their special occasions. Looking forward to attending more events here in the future!
