I recently travelled from Cheshire to Rein and Shine for a riding experience on their beautiful Shire horse King Arthur. I spent a wonderful 2 hours with him learning all about him and grooming him before I rode. What a gorgeous gentleman and gentle giant he is. I had a fantastic ride through the fields and a splash through the water and felt on top of the world and very privileged to be able to have this experience for such a good price knowing that the money helps to keep him happy. They are so accommodating at Rein and Shine and I would highly recommend this shire horse experience. They are also able to tailor make other experiences on other horses to your requirements. I made a weekend of it in the beautiful Cotswolds and would love to return. Thanks to King Arthur for making my day so special.

It’s more than a place to ride. Highly qualified coaches with different specialties, you learn and enjoy at your own pace. Hoof club as a great entry point for pony-mad children - some who progressed to yard staff, apprentices and becoming coaches! Supportive and fun for adult learners, liveries, those coming back to riding after a few years break. Alternative provision for learners struggling at school. Very flexible livery packages, ideal for those with busy lives who need extra support at unplanned times. Don’t be afraid to dip your toe in… you’ll love it.

Very friendly, went to watch a lesson that a family member had gotten for their birthday, a great experience for them and us as spectators. Very well organised and lots of happy horses!

I was incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to have a lesson on the simulator horse with Jenna. If you are considering booking one, or wondering if it is worth it - I strongly encourage you to try it out! Whilst I love my lessons with the superb horses at the yard - this lesson was a true eye opener and is going to be perfectly complementary to my riding lessons. We spent the start of the session going through the testing phases - the data it gives you is amazing! I could notice every single change my body made in walk, trot, and canter. It looks at rein contact, saddle pressure, leg contact etc. Jenna was able to coach me through the changes so that I was riding better. Due to being a simulator you could make mistakes and learn from them, without impacting a horse and their body. We then moved on to jumping and I completed a full 13 fence course. The highlight of the session was gaining the ability to jump without stirrups, something that I would have been really uncomfortable doing whilst on a horse. In a hour I feel that I have gained so much knowledge about my riding which I am excited to take onto my next lesson! I don’t think it is normal for a riding school to have access to such an incredible piece of equipment!
