We visited this experience today, it was all very good and well laid out, our only downside if you can call it that was The Howard Carter experience. We found it a bit bewildering and couldn't really grasp what we were supposed to be doing, despite the staff there explaining to us in great detail. Everything else was very good and well worth the visit. The air con was a bonus too!!

Visited Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham recently, and it completely exceeded my expectations! If you’re on the fence about buying tickets, definitely book a slot. The journey begins in the curated gallery space, which sets the scene with authentic-looking replica artefacts and historical context, but the real spectacle kicks off once you step into the tech-driven areas. The 360-degree immersive experience in the main projection room was genuinely interesting. However, the VR experiences completely stole the show! There are two distinct setups that make the entire entry price worth it. VR Spectator Experience: A seated, 360-degree virtual reality ride that glides you through the mystical journey of the Egyptian afterlife. The visual scale is incredible. VR Walking Experience: The free-roaming metaverse walk-through of the Valley of the Kings and Carter’s base camp. Putting on the headset and physically walking around the dig site and tomb—it genuinely makes you feel like an archaeologist uncovering golden treasures. Beyond the flashiness, the whole setup was absolutely fun while teaching you a ton of stuff along the way.

What an incredible experience. With 2 Virtual reality sessions and a remarkable immersive experience quite something. And to add to all of this staff that were quite exceptional. Got to see it to believe it!! Some photos shown, but I'm not giving it all away!!

Absolutely worth the money. The treasures are beautiful to see and as for the two immersive experiences - they were so brilliant! Just go - you won’t regret it!
