East Dunster Deer Farm - Deer Park
Mid Devon
View on Google MapsRolling Mid Devon farmland around Tiverton holds working deer farms and quiet rural retreats. East Dunster Deer Park sits within one such estate, a converted barn set back from an unmade track on the owner's 40 acres. The property stands alone, with views across fields and ponds, and one well-behaved dog is welcome to stay.
Three bedrooms sleep six: a super king with ensuite shower, a double, and two singles sharing a second bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower. The open-plan ground floor combines living and dining space with a kitchen that has everything needed for self-catering—oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave. Underfloor heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are included. A utility room holds a washing machine, and there is private parking for three cars.
The real draw is the private hot tub on the garden patio. The setting suits groups or families after a genuine escape from towns, though the grounds contain an unfenced pond roughly 55 yards from the barn, and access is by rough track. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. No smoking inside.

We’ve recently had a lovely stay in Deer Park, one of the 4 accommodations you can book. The accommodation was lovely. It’s really well fitted out with everything you need. The location is amazing and very tranquil. The best recommendation I can give is that we’re planning to go back again

We stayed here w/c 18/7/25 lovely place in the middle of nowhere - great place if you want to walk and chill out - when I was shown the fussy list of terms and conditions for getting your £300 deposit back I was very sceptical if anyone would ever get it all back and lol and behold we were charged £220 for dog scratches on a door and various other stuff which were acceptable - we traveled on to Cornwall the week after and this put a downer on the whole holiday - beware - was also not particularly clean

We stayed in the b &b and it perfectly suited our needs. We were glamping the night before and had to leave due to a storm hitting the tent. I'm so glad we found this B &B. It was peaceful, tranquil and Beverley was very accommodating. The room layout was perfect as there was an adjoining bathroom that led onto the kids twin room. My eldest son is autistic and can find noise and new surroundings very difficult. This b & b was perfect for him as it was incredibly quiet, in a homely setting and he absolutely loved it here. The continental breakfast was lovely and the home made jams were out of this world. If we are visiting the area again we will definitely be back.

Beautiful place for a holiday! Highly recommend as a holiday location with a group - super sociable. My only recommendations would be if they provided bin bags etc to save bringing them, bigger cups for tea and nicer cutlery.
