The Shooting Lodge

Couples wanting a quiet retreat, or families needing flexibility with sleeping arrangements, will find The Shooting Lodge works well. Everything is on the ground floor, accessed via a ramp, with a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room that can accommodate two more guests. The ensuite shower room and separate toilet mean no queuing in the morning. Wifi and all linen and towels are provided.

The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals—electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and all the standard kit. An open fire warms the living and dining space, where you can also watch the Smart TV or work through the books and games left here. Heating and initial fuel for the fire are included. Outside, a private enclosed garden has furniture and a BBQ for warmer days.

The lodge sits within Stowlangtoft Estate, with village shops and pubs within walking distance and Wyken Vineyards about 1½ miles away. Historic Bury St Edmunds and Diss are both within reach for day trips. There's parking for two cars on site. Smoking is not permitted.
