This recently refurbished cottage on the Isle of Barra combines modern comfort with traditional character. Four bedrooms sleep up to eight people across two floors, with one ground-floor bedroom offering its own ensuite bathroom and shower. The layout gives families and groups flexibility: the main living spaces—kitchen, dining area and sitting room—spread across the ground floor in an open plan, while an additional upstairs sitting room with a television offers quieter space to retreat to. Two bathrooms and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer mean the practical side runs smoothly.
The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and everything else needed to prepare meals. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. Outside, front and back gardens take in views towards Northbay Harbour; there is parking for three cars and a bike store. One dog can stay free. The cottage does not permit smoking. Bruernish, where Grianan stands, sits in a quiet part of the island, though Barra's beaches, coastal walks and local amenities are within easy reach.
