About Barra Holidays @croft183
The Isle of Barra is a small, inhabited island in the Outer Hebrides, reached by ferry or small plane. Barra Holidays @croft183 is a campground on the island at Bolnabodach, with showers available on site. The pub, Tigh Ciorstaidh, is just a few minutes' walk away.
This is a base for exploring an island with few other settlements and a quiet character. Barra has a working harbour, a school, and a handful of shops and services clustered in the main village. What draws people here is the landscape and the remoteness rather than facilities or nearby attractions in the conventional sense.

What visitors say
Great little site, we initially planned on staying in our camper but last minute repairs meant we had to change to a tent which wasn't a problem. The site has a little kitchen area for campers which was a godsend! Really poor weather then meant we asked to switch to a night in the hostel, en-suite family room again not a problem. Host is very friendly and around if needed. This site is one I'd definitely return to.

We found this lovely hostel/camper van accommodation through Helen at the Padula Island Stores at Castlebay. Although 4.5k from Castlebay, it offers very clean, good quality hostel en suite rooms with individual/communal kitchen/dining areas . The rates were very reasonable. We were very impressed and decided to stay a second night. Ian and Pete were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely revisit .

Great campsite! We called in the evening after arriving on ferry and had no problem to get a spot for a tent. Paid 16£ by card. Great service building - kitchen, seating, toilets, showers, washing machine and dryer, all under one roof and really good and clean. Thank you!

Great place, spotless, in excellent order. Ian was very helpful. Useful to have a fridge and cooker. Good value, too.
