Chinewrde
North Norfolk

Wells-next-the-Sea has a wide sandy beach lined with painted huts, a working quay where boats still operate, and enough independent shops, cafés and restaurants that you could eat somewhere different every day without leaving town. The beach itself suits both families and anyone after a bracing winter walk. Beyond the immediate area, the Norfolk coast opens up into a patchwork of salt marshes, reed beds and woodland worth exploring on foot or by car.
Chinewrde is a three-bedroom house sleeping six, set on a quiet street five minutes' walk from the quay and town centre. The ground floor has an open-plan living and dining area with a wood burner, a second sitting room also with a wood burner, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and the rest. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom with shower over the bath. One dog can stay free. There is parking for two cars on site, which matters in a town where spaces are scarce. Bed linen, towels, heating, hot water and wi-fi are all included. No smoking inside.
