Orchard House is a working farm property on the Hole Farm Estate in North Norfolk, a few miles from Hempstead. The estate itself won a National Conservation award. The house gives you four bedrooms—two with king beds and two with single beds—and two bathrooms across two floors, sleeping six in total. One well-behaved dog can stay free, though it must remain on a lead. There is an unfenced pond about five yards from the garden's edge, which matters if you have young children or a dog that roams.
Downstairs has a living room with a 43-inch smart TV and woodburner, a second sitting room, a kitchen with electric oven and gas hob (so you can cook properly), and a shower room. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and washer-dryer. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all covered; logs for the woodburner are provided via an honesty box. A high chair is available if needed.
Outside, the shared heated swimming pool is 12 metres by 6 metres, open daily from late May to early September between 9am and noon (afternoons by arrangement). A tennis court and bike store are also on site. The courtyard has a barbecue and garden furniture. There is parking on the property, and smoking is not permitted inside. The setting is rural and quiet, suitable for families wanting space and outdoor facilities without the noise of a town.
