Spring Cottages - April Cottage
North Yorkshire
April Cottage is a one-bedroom stone cottage in Settle's old town, where narrow cobbled streets and listed buildings cluster around the market square. The building sits on a slope, with rooms on different levels connected by stone stairs. Exposed stonework, fireplaces and beams remain from its original construction, combined with modern heating and furnishings to keep things comfortable.
The cottage sleeps two in a zip-and-link bed that can be separated into singles on request. You get a proper ensuite shower room upstairs, and a separate bathroom on the ground floor too. The kitchen-diner has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. There's a woodburner in the living room. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. An enclosed stone-flagged garden with furniture and a barbecue sits at ground level, with access to the roadside beyond via stone steps.
The market square, with its pubs and restaurants, is a quarter-mile away. Several nearby walks explore the surrounding hills, and Malham Cove is a short drive. The Settle-Carlisle railway runs through the area, occasionally with heritage steam services. The Yorkshire Dales lie within easy reach, and the Lake District is under an hour away. One car can park on site; additional parking is available nearby. No smoking inside.
