About Hilton Northampton Hotel

Just off the A45 near M1 Junction 15, Hilton Northampton Hotel puts convenience for road travellers at the centre of what it offers, with chargeable on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point among its practical touches. The hotel spans two floors and holds 139 rooms, each en-suite, with family and accessible options available. Bedding and housekeeping are consistently well kept, though some rooms show their age rather than feeling freshly refurbished.

A restaurant and bar cover meals on-site, with kids' meals and a snack bar for lighter options, and breakfast is a particular strength, with a good variety on offer each morning. Staff are noted for being genuinely helpful and friendly, which goes some way to making up for the older feel of parts of the building. Guests can also make use of a gym, spa and sauna, plus meeting rooms and business services for those travelling for work, and the hotel hosts weddings with a dedicated bridal suite.

Outdoor seating and a garden give some space to unwind, and pets are welcome for those travelling with animals. A golf course, pubs, bars and restaurants nearby add options beyond the hotel itself, making it a workable base for both business trips and overnight stops off the motorway.

On arrival day they tried to charge me extra for something i didnt choose or click on when booking through the website. They lied in my face at the service desk and said that there was a problem a couple of days ago and thats the reason. The service worker said that they wont charge me for parking costs for that fault. After the stay they still did though. Room was clean but i saw some human hairs in the bathroom. Disgusting The room doesnt have any air conditioning so it was very hot and unpleasant. With the window open there was barely some air flow. The only thing good about the hotel is the breakfast. One of the workers there wants to pour you a drink that you can find and take yourself? What's special about that? The restaurant services and workers are also terribly. They forgot a couple of times what i ordered and thats why it took so long before i got to eat my food.

Very clean and tidy with helpful and welcoming staff. The breakfast is absolute first rate, as is dinner. The drinks are little on the pricy side but it's ok if you only have the one. The gym is very well equipped with good quality equipment. The only downside I had to pick out was there was no air conditioning in the room and with the hit weather, that would of been the icing on the cake. Otherwise I'd not think twice before staying here again. A credit to the Hilton name 👍

**Rating: ⭐️⭐️ (2/5)** **Hugely disappointed. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I expected a standard that actually matches a 4-star hotel charging over £110 a night. Unfortunately, this property fell incredibly short.** ### 🛑 The Bad: * **No Air Conditioning:** For a 4-star hotel, this is completely unacceptable. Instead, we were left with an old, half-broken fan (see picture). * **Outdated & Dirty Bathroom:** The bathroom felt incredibly old and, worse, it wasn't properly cleaned. * **Poor Housekeeping:** We specifically left the cleaning card out, but our room was completely ignored and never cleaned during our stay. * **Bad Value for Money:** For the price paid, the cost-benefit just isn't there. You are honestly much better off going to the Premier Inn down the road for a better experience at a fraction of the cost. ### 🥞 The Good: * **Breakfast:** The breakfast selection was actually very nice, though the dining area gets incredibly busy and crowded. * **Kid-Friendly Touch:** The Lego table at the entrance was a great addition for the kids. > **Final Verdict:** Pretty disappointing stay for the price. Hilton needs to heavily invest in updating this property. I won't be returning. >

Presently surprised by this hotel, we booked two deluxe rooms, one being a pet-friendly room which they then left a dog bed along with bowls biscuits and a toy, very thoughtful. I was also left a large welcome spa pack with lots of nice treats in. The location was sooo perfect, straight off the motorway. I'm always a bit dubious about motorway hotels as they can often be rather run down with a seady basic some, but this hotel really did have a nice feel. The staff on reception were very frienm nodly. I knocked a star off as I found a couple of stray hairs in the bath tub which was gross but I wasn't going to let it spoil our evening up. The room service menu lacked a bit of choice. I'm one who can often just enjoy a simple sandwich when traveling, there wasnt anything in the menu I even wanted so we actually didn't get anything in the end. Perhaps that needs looking into. Bed compfy and smelt lovely and fresh with soft pillows. All though we had a mere little issue we would deff stay again if we took a simler trip down south again. Perfect for long drive stop overs.
