Travelodge Northampton Wootton is a straightforward, two-storey budget hotel on London Road, south of the town centre near M1 Junction 15. With 51 rooms across its two floors, it's built for convenience rather than character, aimed at travellers who want an easy stop with parking on hand and good access to rail links.

Guests generally find the rooms clean and spacious with comfortable beds, and the staff are often described as friendly and helpful, though some visitors have noted inconsistent service and occasional noise in the rooms.
Beyond the hotel, there's a pizza eatery nearby along with other restaurants, a pub, and entertainment options, plus a golf course within reach for those wanting to fill a spare afternoon. Pets are welcome, making it a practical base for a night on the road or a short stay near the motorway.

What guests say
I stayed yesterday, lovely blonde receptionist who was very accommodating towards myself and everyone else. The rooms were clean, tidy and lovely and cool because the fans were kept on. To all the people leaving a bad review, remember this is a travel lodge and not a 5 star hotel in ibiza. Will be coming back very soon on our travels!

Cheap and does the job if you need a a one or two night convenient stop over. Basics in the room, water pressure could be better but ok for the price point. Functional building and decor. Quick access from motorway and Toby Carvery attached, however that stops serving at 10pm!

On arrival there was police tape, a crashed car with it front bashed in, there was barricading around the wall of the lodge, a rude receptionist yawning greeted me at 5pm. In walking to my room a scruffy man was sitting in a chair in the corridor listening to his phone, on exiting my room his was still there while in my way for dinner, the fire exit was being used as a general thoroughfare. I asked the man who he was, bleary eyed he said see reception.. we both went to reception no one was there a sign to call an 029 number. The receptionist finally came, called me a liar as there was no alarm on the panel for the fire exit being used as an entrance and exit, she was soo rude. The scruffy man was supposed to be security!! Neither of the staff were polite and were clearly tired and couldn't be bothered. I left as I felt if there was a further incident my safety was not the Travel lodges first priority. The food at the Toby was disgusting. Do not stay. Pay more for better.

A well situated and generally clean hotel. Nice size rooms. There are issues: 1. Heating - my room only had this small and dirty heater which isn’t big enough. 2. Build quality - not a lot they can do about this, but the walls are very thin. You can hear everything from adjoining rooms. 3. Catering. For a hotel catering to people travelling for work, the timings are out. No food after 9pm (except soup and prawn cocktail bizarrely) and last orders at the bar at 9.30. Likewise in the morning, no breakfast until 8am.
