What visitors say
Really interesting museum about local history, but covering all the wars and battle England has been involved in for hundreds of years! Lots of information in a lovely building. Free admission and parking along all perimeter roads. Clean toilets. Cafe behind the museum.

Always a pleasure to visit! Stuff for all ages, check out the carv ings on the panels in the dining room. Toys upstairs & household, maybe avoid the medical corner with kids, lots of military exhibits downstairs. Combine with the aviary & either the playground or cafe. Church is also interesting but I don't know whether it is open all the time. Usually have contemporary paintings on display too. Btw free entry! Donations welcome

Lovely park and museum (open Sat-Sun) with free entry. Historic building, and the area's history explained with interesting displays and artefacts. Don't miss the lakes, ponds and water tower further into the park. Refresh in the cafe - a little pricey but quality food and drink.

Fantastic little free museum in a lovely setting. Only real came to see the history of the Northamptonshire Yeomanry as my Grandad served with them during the war. Parking is on the street but no restrictions. Free to enter. The part on the Yeomanry was expansive and detailed. They also had a part of the house and the park which was interesting too. No shop or cafe but toilets
