Couples and small families will find The Stable works well as a self-contained base on a working farm in the North Tyne Valley. This former horse building has been renovated as a two-bedroom cottage with two bathrooms—a double with ensuite shower on the ground floor, and twin beds with an ensuite bath upstairs. The open-plan ground floor brings kitchen, dining and living space together around a wood burner, with garden furniture and an enclosed patio outside. One dog stays free of charge.

The essentials are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with initial logs for the burner. The kitchen is equipped for everyday cooking. There's parking for four cars on site, and an electric vehicle charging point is available by prior arrangement. The cottage sits between Bellingham and Kielder on a quiet route through the valley, putting it within reach of both Northumberland National Park and the Scottish Borders. No smoking inside.
