Tarset Tor - Mars 4

Northumberland

View on Google Maps

A timber cabin built from sustainably sourced cedar, Tarset Tor - Mars 4 sits beneath the outcrop of Tarset Tor in Northumberland. The structure is powered by renewable energy and designed to minimise its environmental impact, while keeping guests warm and comfortable through the year. One dog can stay free of charge.

Ground-floor living makes this cabin work well for families or groups of friends. The open-plan space contains a kitchen fitted with an electric oven, hob and microwave, a dining area with Freeview TV, and a living room heated by a biomass stove. Two bedrooms are upstairs: one with a king-size bed and ensuite shower, the other with two sets of single bunk beds and a toilet. Bed linen, wi-fi, electricity and wood-burner fuel are all included. Outside, there is parking for two cars on site, a firepit and barbecue in the front garden, and a bike store for exploring the surrounding routes.

The cabin lies on the edge of Kielder Forest and within reach of Northumberland National Park, making it a base for walking, cycling and wildlife spotting. The area has little light pollution, so clear nights are frequent. No smoking indoors.
