Tarset Tor – Venus 3 is a detached cabin built from sustainably sourced cedar and powered by renewable energy, standing beside the outcrop of Tarset Tor within Northumberland National Park. The property sleeps up to eight guests across two mezzanine bedrooms, each fitted with four bunk beds, individual reading lights and privacy curtains. Both rooms have en-suite shower facilities, and there is a separate toilet on the ground floor. One pet can stay at no extra charge.
The open-plan ground floor combines kitchen, dining and living areas around a biomass stove, with large windows framing the hillside landscape. You can cook using an electric oven and hob, and there is a wood-burning firepit in the front garden along with a barbecue. Electricity, heating, bed linen, Wi-Fi and wood for the stove are all included. Bike storage and parking for two cars are on site. A shared sauna is available by arrangement with the owner, and there is a children's play area within the grounds.
Walking and cycling trails lead directly from the property into the surrounding moorland and forest. Kielder Forest lies nearby, known for red squirrels, deer and ospreys. The area is designated as part of Europe's largest Dark Sky Park. No smoking is permitted inside the property.
