Corran Esplanade runs along the waterfront just outside Oban town centre, with views across the bay to the hills beyond, and it's here that Barriemore makes the most of its setting. Many of the rooms look straight out over the sea and mountains, giving guests a quiet, scenic base within easy reach of the town.
Rooms are clean and comfortably sized, all with en-suite bathrooms, and there are family and accessible options available. Was the loveliest stay in Oban!! My daughter and I have stayed elsewhere in the area, but this apartment was by far a more quiet, comfortable, and peaceful area. The view is stunning! The beds were comfortable! And it was exceptionally quiet and peaceful. Jan was a welcoming hostess. She was very helpful with check-in and check out. Even calling a taxi for us. And Mark was very helpful with items we did not understand how to work, such as the heater and the windows. And both of them were very friendly! We look forward to our next time in Oban staying at this wonderfully cozy abode!

We spent 3 nights at The Barriemore.The location was stunning and just a short walk away from the main centre. Mark was very welcoming & friendly. He suggested a couple of places for breakfast & Dinner. Our room & Bathroom was immaculate and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of Tea, coffee & milk. It was a really nice welcome to find The biscuits & Sherry in our room on arrival. We will certainly go back to this hotel the next time we plan to visit Oban.

We stayed in the self catering 2 bedroom apartment. It was wonderful, the bedrooms were nice with a comfy bed and decent pillows (im very picky about pillows). The location was perfect we could easily walk to town or walk along the coast for lovely sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped with a few spices and plenty of pots and pan for cooking. There is a lovely sitting area on the front porch with comfy chairs. In the common area there are tables for playing cards, storing bikes, and a lovely covered sunroom. The host was phenomenal and gave excellent advice on places to visit or eat. If you arent used to those types of showers it was a little difficult to use. I wasnt aware that the temperature should be left more in the middle and not adjusted quickly. So the first morning I managed to have the hottest and coldest shower of my life. We figured it out the next day though and were able to enjoy a normal shower.

Superb stay at the Barriemore. Location is spot on overlooking the water. Even without a sea view room, there's the conservatory or front patio to watch the world go by. Room was pristinely clean with fresh water in the little fridge and sherry and treats. Very thoughtful. Lovely ensuite. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Short wander into town. A thoroughly lovely stay.
