About Croft Number 2 Caravan and Camping Certificated Site
Tucked onto a working croft on the Isle of Barra, this small certificated site delivers everything you'd hope for from an Outer Hebrides escape: stunning coastal views, direct beach access, and the kind of peace that only comes from camping at the edge of the Atlantic. The shower and toilet facilities are kept spotlessly clean, and the welcome from hosts is as warm as it is flexible—helpful when ferry schedules inevitably shift.
With electric hook-ups, wifi, and the freedom to light campfires, it strikes a rare balance between remoteness and creature comforts. Dogs are welcome, making it ideal for families wanting a straightforward, beautifully situated base from which to explore Barra's shell-sand beaches and ancient landscapes.

What visitors say
I left this morning to continue my Outer Hebrides trip, but I could easily have stayed for days. The location is stunning, with beautiful walks in every direction. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great for watersports (which was my intention), so I suppose I'll just have to come back one day. The toilet and shower was spotless. I was warmly welcomed by Eilidh, who couldn't do enough and was a wealth of local info. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a lovely stay here camping for two nights, the location is amazing with direct access to the beach. The host was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. All the facilities were in perfect condition and it had everything we needed

Returned to the site after a number of years. We chose a non electric pitch which overlooked the beach on the other side of the road to the campsite. The views from our van were lovely. Angus the owner was there to welcome us and previously had made the online booking so easy. He showed us around the toilet & shower block facilities which has been recently redecorated and were spotlessly clean. There was a washing machine available to use. The shower room was spacious with constant hot water. There was only one toilet and one shower on site, which was fine for us in early season. This site is a simple site, locally owned in a stunning location.

Stunning location! We had a van pitch on the beach side of the site as we don’t need EHU. Facilities are fab, little Bothy for washing up etc. single toilet and shower but immaculate. Washing machine available with honesty box payment. Our favourite site of our whole Outer Hebrides trip. Angus was an fab host. We had a wee mishap with a van window and he provided us with tape and heavy duty plastic to make a fix that meant we didn’t have to abandon our trip.
