Gillhead Farm Cottage

Families and groups of up to four will find Gillhead Farm Cottage a practical base for exploring the Lake District. The stone-built farmhouse sits on a working farm near Troutbeck, with Blencathra visible from the grounds. Two bedrooms—one with a king-size bed, one with zip-and-link single beds—each have their own bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs there are two living spaces, both with wood-burning stoves and Freeview TV, plus a dining room that opens onto a garden with sitting-out furniture.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included in the rental. There is parking for three cars on site. A pub is within a mile. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The cottage does not permit smoking. You can arrive from 4pm and must depart by 10am.
