Loch Tay Lodges - Osprey Boathouse
Perth and Kinross
View on Google MapsPhoto: Osprey Boathouse
The south shore of Loch Tay is remote and quiet, and this timber boathouse sits directly over the water on stilts, reached via a rough track through countryside that feels genuinely removed from tourist bustle. The single open-plan room holds a kingsize bed, sitting area and dining space all angled toward the loch; large windows frame the water, light, weather and wildlife throughout the day. A wood-burning stove warms the space in winter, and underfloor heating runs through the bathroom. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. Everything essential—electricity, bed linen, towels, wifi—is included, and the first load of wood for the stove comes with your arrival.
Outside, a private deck drops to a hot tub positioned right at the water's edge for soaking with views across the loch. You have parking for two cars on site. The property suits couples and solo travellers seeking seclusion rather than socialising; there is an unfenced loch within the grounds, and a natural water supply via spring. Kenmore village, a short drive away, has a shop, a handful of places to eat and access to walking routes through the surrounding hills. No smoking inside.

Had a wonderful week at Osprey (a return visit for us). Place is gorgeous and very comfortable and spacious for a week’s stay. The pre lit Christmas tree was a lovely touch. Very peaceful with a beautiful outlook. This was the view from the deck during our stay
