Loch Tay Lodges - The Tractor Shed

Perth and Kinross

Photo: The Tractor Shed

A former agricultural building remade as a contemporary one-bedroom lodge, The Tractor Shed sits on the south shore of Loch Tay with views that stretch across the water and rise to the hills beyond. Built around a full-width glass frontage, the open-plan living and dining space frames those views while a separate kingsize bedroom provides quieter refuge. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and the rest—and there's a woodburner for colder months alongside the air source heat pump.

Everything happens on the ground floor. A walk-in shower and heated towel rail are in the bathroom. Outside, a private hot tub positioned to face the loch is the obvious draw, and there's a sitting-out area with barbecue for warmer evenings. Two cars can park on site. The track up to the property is rough, and there's an unfenced loch within the grounds—something to note if you have young children. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; wood for the burner comes with you and more is available locally.

The nearest village is Kenmore, a short drive away with restaurants, bars and shops. Loch Tay itself draws walkers and water sports enthusiasts, while Aberfeldy, further along the shore, offers more amenities. No smoking is permitted.

We have stayed at the tractor shed twice and loved every minute of it ,we were so looking forward to going back again this year to our little home from home but sadly when going to book again we were genuinely shocked at the price, more than double the price of what we paid the last two years ?? Looks like now sadly we will never stay at this place again as the owners have priced it way out of reach .

An absolute gem of a place. We stayed here for the most peaceful week we have had for many years. Views to die for, A clean warm lodge with a wood burner and hot tub. No neighbours within sight or sound except for deer, red squirrels and the odd sheep. Beautiful.

Wow, this lodge was amazing. Detached, and so peaceful. The lodge has everything You could Possible Need. No air fryer. The views were Spectacular through the picture window in the lounge. The bathroom is huge with bath and separate walk-in shower. The whole house has underfloor heating which is more than enough to heat the lodge. The log fire is an added bonus. The views from the whole lodge is spectacular we were not disappointed. The pictures advertising it do not do it justice it was Much bigger than it looked.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Dairy cottage for my birthday. It was truly magnificent and relaxed time, the staff were fantastic, accomodating, helpful and friendly when booking. We will definitely come back again. A little bit of wilderness heaven in a truly beautiful cottage and we both would highly recommend to anyone who is needing a much needed break. The only thing I regret is not staying a few more nights instead of one. We will definitely be back.x
