Salterns Way runs along the edge of Poole Harbour in Lilliput, and Salterns Harbourside Hotel makes the most of that position, with the marina and its moored boats forming the backdrop to much of the stay. It's a small hotel, with just 20 rooms, so the feel throughout is more personal than a large seafront resort.
Rooms are complemented by a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast each morning, and a garden for sitting out when the weather allows. Free WiFi is available throughout, and there's luggage storage for those arriving before check-in or leaving after checkout. The hotel also caters for weddings and has business services for guests travelling for work, while free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward. Pets are welcome too.
Beyond the marina itself, Poole's harbour setting gives plenty of scope for walking along the water or exploring further into Dorset. Back at the hotel, the combination of harbour views, a restaurant and bar, and a garden makes it a comfortable base for a few days by the water.

The Deck - Spent a relaxing couple of hours here on the record breaking May Day! Lovely cool breeze and wonderful views. Also had a really delicious pizza - handmade I’m pretty sure. Friendly staff too. Only dropped a star as toilet facility is a bit basic and could be tricky for those with mobility issues. But in the circumstances that can’t be easily resolved and everything else made up for that! Will be back!! Great range of food on the menu. Accessible parking too

A very relaxing place to be in a sunny day. Just a little walk away from the busy streets. A nice drink or something to eat and nice music
