Wern Farm Barn

The Brecon Beacons draw walkers and cyclists throughout the year, and Cwmdu sits at the heart of this landscape—a quiet village where sheep farming and rural life still define the rhythm of things. Wern Farm Barn occupies a working farm and livery yard here, a converted stone building that sleeps eight across four bedrooms and two bathrooms. One dog is allowed. The whole place is yours alone.

The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs holds a living room with wood-burning stove and Smart TV, a games room furnished with table tennis, table football and an Xbox, and a fully fitted kitchen with range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer opening onto a fully enclosed garden with seating and gas barbecue. A ground-floor toilet is separate. Upstairs: a king-size bedroom with its own ensuite and Jack-and-Jill access, two double bedrooms, a bunk room for children, a bathroom with bath and shower, and a shower room. Electricity, WiFi, bed linen and towels come as standard, along with initial wood for the stove and a welcome pack.

An enclosed lawned garden with decked sitting area faces south. There is parking for five cars on site, and a bike store. The property draws water from a borehole and has a stream running alongside. No smoking indoors. Children and groups work well here; so do people who want a base for exploring the national park without needing to venture far each evening.
