Preston's industrial past lives on in the Carriage Works, a converted warehouse where Apartment 13 occupies the second and third floors of a modern building. The city has reinvented itself around its historic dock, now home to a marina lined with shops, pubs and restaurants, alongside a museum and cinema. From here you're an hour from the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, half an hour from Blackpool's seafront, and within reach of Lancashire's quieter coastal towns and the Ribble Valley's food scene.
The apartment sleeps six across two bedrooms: a double with en-suite shower on the second floor, and a twin room with a sofa bed in the open-plan living space above. The third floor is where the character emerges—a combined kitchen, dining and living area with patio doors opening onto a balcony. You get a full kitchen for self-catering, a bathroom with bath and shower, Wi-Fi, heating and all bedding and towels provided. A public car park is 350 yards away.
The building is non-smoking. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.
