About Daishs Hotel

Daishs Hotel suits travellers who want a relaxed, no-nonsense stay rather than a boutique experience - families on a seaside break, older couples, or anyone exploring the Isle of Wight who values comfort and a good meal over sleek design. It occupies a spot on the High Street in Shanklin, putting golf, fishing, cycling and walking areas within easy reach, along with nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family rooms and accessible rooms are available, along with a lift for those who prefer not to use stairs. Breakfast is included, and the kitchen also offers packed lunches and kids' meals, useful for families out for the day. There's a bar on site, plus a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating with garden views for warmer days. Drinks can be brought to the room as well.

The food and the staff are the strongest points here, with guests regularly noting both the quality of meals and the helpfulness of the team, and the overall stay is considered good value for money. The decor is on the dated side in places, so those wanting a modern finish may want to look elsewhere, but for a comfortable, well-located base on the High Street it does the job well. Note that there is no parking available at the property.

Daish Hotel Shanklin is very clean, with good size rooms and very comfortable beds, well maintained with daily friendly cleaning staff changing the Towels every day if required. The room was a little warm at night but there was a fan which kept the room cool. Matt who served our meals was very efficient and thorough, his manarisums were Basil Faulty esk and was most welcome and fun throughout our stay. The food every sitting was Excellent and very tasty, with good portions every night and Breakfasts. Entertainment was good especially The Mix, that consisted of Female and Male singers, the Male playing a Keytar accompliment. The music eras were varied 50,60,70,80s. Very good strong Voices. Can't fault our stay, Bar Staff, Reception and Room servicing personnel. Shanklin Beach is down a steep hill but well worth the effort when you get there. There's a few little Gift Shops by the Hotel and one hiding away down the side of a pub. Well worth a look as the items are made locally and are very unusual and priced reasonably. Enjoyed our stay and maybe one day we will stay again. Thank you.

Lovely hotel & staff. Food was very nice with a wide choice to choose from. Alcohol was very reasonably priced also. £5.40 for a pint of Madri which ain't bad this day & age. Overall, excellent place to stay with a nice steady walk to the beach or you can get the shuttle bus.

We visited this hotel for a five day break from 18th of June. It was a music festival weekend although we didn’t realise that until arrival. We were a little late arriving as our coach couldn’t cross until a bit later than usual because it was so busy. On arrival we had a pleasant greeting and our room was spacious and clean. The dining experience was also pleasant the food was well cooked and tasty . It was helped with our extremely friendly and efficient waiter Ryan. He brought a little humour and smiles to the room. The bar was decent too the entertainment was a little dated and predictable. I do think a little shake up with maybe a bit of comedy or magic or at least more variety in song choice. I do get the guests are maybe on the older side but that doesn’t mean we don’t have to have the same songs every night. But in general we had a very nice holiday and would recommend this hotel without hesitation
