Foxhills Hideaway is a refurbished Victorian property sleeping ten across five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Ground floor holds the main living spaces: a sitting room with smart TV and electric woodburner, dining room, and a kitchen fitted for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave, air fryer and dishwasher among the essentials. A second dining area sits nearby. Upstairs, the five bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements. Four have kingsize beds (one convertible to two singles); the fifth is a super kingsize also convertible to singles. All rooms have smart TVs and en-suites with heated towel rails. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included. One dog is welcome. The property is non-smoking, and there is parking on site for four cars.
Shanklin itself sits on one of the Isle of Wight's longest sandy beaches, lined with the traditional beach huts, cafés and arcades you'd expect of a classic British seaside town. The esplanade runs the length of the shore. A short walk leads to Shanklin Old Village, where thatched cottages, boutique shops and tea rooms cluster around narrow lanes. Shanklin Chine, a wooded gorge with waterfalls, lies nearby and offers summer evening walks. The coastal path stretches in both directions—towards Sandown and Ventnor—with lookout points and chances to spot wildlife. For families, Crazy Golf, Rylstone Gardens, the Donkey Sanctuary and Sandown Pier amusements are all close by. Check-in is after 16:00; departure before 10:00.
