What visitors say
Lovely journey up the cliffside to Lynton and back to Lymouth..... We took the journey up then walked into Lynton and then back down the zig zag path (hence pics from the bridges down the track). Each journey is a separate payment, so you can take the water powered line up and/or down. The zig zag path is quite steep. The journeyis short but worth doing and heritage like this is always worth preserving. Go for it!

This was excellent. The whole history of it, and how it works is very interesting, you also have a great view if you go up and it as we did. We also saw the tragedy that happen with the floods in lymout. To read about it was heart breaking but please visit the monument and museum. So manykst homes, loved ones and babies.

Great little railway. Just under £4 per person each way. Takes about 2 mins. Try to be at the sea view end...great views. Fits about 20 people and dogs are allowed. Lovely walk either end (top is Lynton and btm is Lynmouth).

This railway is a fantastic place for a ride on an old-style water powered railway. It is a great experience with wonderful views along the way, and it feels really special to travel this way. The one-way ticket costs £3.90 for an adult, which is very reasonable for such a unique attraction. Overall, it is definitely worth doing for both the scenery and the experience.
