The Somerset Wildlife Trust borders this converted barn, making it an ideal base for exploring the Blackdown Hills National Landscape. Chard is close by, and the immediate surroundings offer walking straight onto the Trust's land—useful if you want to spend time outdoors without needing the car. The property itself is set up for groups of up to eight: four bedrooms across two floors, two bathrooms, and enough space that everyone gets breathing room.
Ground floor has an open-plan living area with a woodburner, dining space, and kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals. One double bedroom with an ensuite sits on this level. Upstairs, two more bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link bed and another with a kingsize—share a bathroom with both a roll-top bath and separate shower. The fourth bedroom, with two single beds, is also on the ground floor. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels come as standard; initial logs for the burner are included too. One well-behaved dog can stay free.
Outside, a large patio holds the hot tub (fits six to eight), garden furniture and a barbecue, with a lawn beyond for other activities. There is parking for three cars. The property does not accommodate hen or stag parties, and smoking is not permitted inside.

5 star base for our week. 4 adults, plenty of space. Hot tub is a hit with my wife. Great views from patio. Have used BBQ a couple of times. Very quiet, lots of bunnies. Would come again

Had a wonderful stay here with our doggos. I would recommend blinds or curtains in the living room so you can see the TV a little better during the day. Besides wonderful visit, will return

A beautiful place, when booking it, I thought the photos were nice, but it's even better, quiet cosy, relaxing, and the little touches that Dennis (the owner) adds are lovely, it's located on a well maintained farm in a peaceful location. I would definitely recommend a visit.
