What visitors say

Shumu Studios

Standing outside Abbey Road feels surreal if you’ve ever loved music. There’s no big sign, no overdone fanfare - just this beautiful red-brick building that quietly holds decades of history. The energy around it is unmistakable; you can almost feel the music that’s been made here. The area itself has that classic London charm: calm, elegant, and instantly recognizable. Whether you’re a musician or just someone who grew up loving the sound of real instruments and tape warmth, it’s worth stopping by.

Attended a fund raising event for my first visit to Abbey Road Studios. I have gone past the venue and famous zebra crossing many times. However my first time inside didn't disappoint! We were given an audio and visual history of the studio. Our dinner took place in studio one, the theme was 'surprise suprise' The Beatles, we also saw actual footage of Cilla Black's recording of Alfie. Hence the intended pun in the previous sentence. I even managed to get a souvenir photo on the mocked up zebra crossing inside the studio. We were treated to live music throughout the evening with a great string quartet and pianist. The fundraising event was for a great cause with some very high profile former managers in attendance. A great night was had by everyone.

The building itself is surprisingly unassuming considering the legend that it is. They have a pretty nice gift shop if you are a fan of The Beatles or Pink Floyd.
