Rose Cottage

Paignton's sandy beach and the Devon countryside are both within easy reach of Rose Cottage. The cottage itself is a converted farm building with exposed stone walls and original roof beams, arranged around a shared courtyard with a pond. It has two bedrooms—one with a four-poster double, one with two single beds—and two bathrooms with showers. Everything is on the ground floor.

The open-plan living space has a wood-burner, Smart TV and French doors onto the courtyard where there's garden furniture and a barbecue. The kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob for cooking proper meals. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. One dog stays free. There's private parking for a car, and a shared laundry room on site. No smoking inside.

The location suits families or couples wanting beach time without being in a busy resort. Marldon village is on the doorstep, with the church and annual apple pie fair. Paignton itself—with its amusement park, pier and seafront—is a short drive away.
