About The Nook
The Nook is a compact guest house on Alexandra Road in St Ives, built along modest, unfussy lines rather than grand ones, and all the better for it. This is a place that keeps things simple: tidy en-suite rooms, free Wi-Fi, and drinks available in the room, with 24 hour reception on hand whenever guests arrive or need something sorted.
Breakfast is included, setting guests up before a day exploring the town, and the rooms themselves are streamlined rather than elaborate, geared towards comfortable, practical stays rather than added extras. It suits those who want a straightforward base rather than a destination in itself.
St Ives itself does the heavy lifting nearby, with its beaches, art galleries and coastal paths all within reach, and walking and cycling routes on the doorstep for the more active. Golf, fishing and watersports are all close by too, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment for the evenings, making The Nook a sensible spot to rest between days spent along the Cornish coast.

Really enjoyed my stay here for a few days. Location is prime, just a 5mins walk to the beach and 10mins to the harbour. I managed to get parking but other visitors had to park in the side roads. Communal kitchen experience reminded me of uni days but was well equipped; even provided an electric whisk! Only down side was being able to hear doors closing in other parts of the building e.g. hearing the kitchen door closing whilst I was in my bedroom. But I suppose the doors are heavy for a reason, I just didn't imagine them to be this loud. Overall had a really positive experience. After returning home I was checking the availability for next summer!

Great place to stay. Very clean the apartment was so well equipped. Long steep walk to main resort but all of St Ives is hilly. We did find a taxi to bring us back one night for £4 so no complaints.

Room 9 is very small, once you find it. Certainly wouldn't recommend this room. Thought this would be ok just as a for sleeping. The bed was fine but there was no room to change or store things. Your cases or bags use up the only bit of floor space. This location was ok. A walk down the hill to the town/beach. But walking back is very steep and depending on your mobility it may not be easy.

Fabulous room, great communal kitchen with everything you need including an iron and ironing board. Bed really comfy and good quality linen, great shower, hand wash, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom which was a lovely touch, big tv on the wall and kettle, and small hairdryer. Would recommend, but if you have any walking difficulties the only downside would then be the huuuuge hill on walking back up from a day in St Ives town or beach, ok walking down but on returning, you may need a defibrillator.
