Lakeview Cottages at Mondhui - The Mews
Stirling

The Mews sits on Mondhui, a private estate within the national park, surrounded by 42 acres of woodland and positioned to overlook Scotland's only lake. The setting draws wildlife enthusiasts—osprey, red kites, red squirrels and pine marten move through the grounds, and a duck flighting pond a quarter-mile away attracts birdwatchers. Walking trails lead directly from the cottage into the Menteith Hills.
This one-bedroom cottage sleeps two and offers a ground-floor bedroom with a king bed and shower room, plus an upstairs open-plan living space with a woodburner, TV, and kitchen equipped for self-catering. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are provided, along with initial logs for the fire. There is parking for two cars on site and an enclosed courtyard garden with seating.
One dog is welcome provided it stays on a lead, as sheep graze nearby. The cottage sits in an elevated position with steps and sloping banks in the garden. The Lake Hotel and Waterfront Restaurant, beside the water, offers a 10% dining discount to guests. The nearest village facilities and the historic Inchmahome Priory, founded in 1238, are accessible from the property.
