Lakeview Cottages at Mondhui - The Stable
Stirling
Photo: Google Maps
The Stable is a single-storey cottage converted from an old farm building, set within the private Mondhui estate in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. You arrive into an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas under one roof—a king bed and bathroom complete the layout. The whole place is yours alone, with parking for two cars and a private courtyard garden with seating.
Essentials are covered: electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave and washer-dryer for a self-catering stay. A 32-inch TV, DVD player and CD player are there if you want them. One dog is welcome on the property, which sits in sheep country, so dogs must stay on a lead. The cottage overlooks Lake of Menteith, Scotland's only lake, with views across to Inchmahome Priory. The 42-acre grounds include woodland walks and a duck flighting pond a quarter-mile away—the area draws osprey, red kites, red squirrels and deer. From the door you can walk up into the Menteith Hills and join the Rob Roy Way.
No smoking indoors. The garden has slopes and steps, and there are ponds within the grounds.
