Woodsell Farm – Swallow sits within a working nature preserve in the Kent Downs, where 180 acres of rewilding project surrounds the property. A trail winds through the grounds with picnic spots and a bird hide on stilts; the reserve is open to explore during your stay. The village of Stalisfield is nearby for supplies and local food, and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty draws walkers year-round.
The cottage is a converted stable on one floor, with an open-plan living and dining space, a kitchen fitted with a full range of appliances for proper cooking, and two bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link super-king bed (convertible to two singles), the other with two 3ft single beds. A walk-in shower room completes the layout. Essentials including electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided. The patio has garden furniture; there is private parking for two cars. A shared laundry room with tumble dryer is available, and a heated swimming pool (10m x 5m, May to September) is shared with other properties on the reserve. Travel cots and high chairs can be arranged on request.
The grounds contain unfenced ponds, so supervision of children is important. No smoking inside the cottage. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.

We had an extremely comfortable stay at Woodsell for 4 nights. From the comfy bed, the use of eco-friendly products and the furniture made on site, everything was cleverly and well thought through. We particularly enjoyed the strolls through the woods seeing the wildflowers and hearing the birdsong. The swimming pool had just opened and looked very inviting. It is a special place and we are really looking forward to our next stay.

I had an amazing two day stay at Woodsell Farm last week. I stayed at the Dunnock Cottage and it was awesome. The cottage is fully equipped, all you need to do is bring your food and toothbrush! The bed is super comfortable, the bathroom and shower are amazing! I went for lots of walks around the farm following the routes that they have laid out for you, & spent time in the bird hide. Made some nice dinner and enjoyed listening to the birds late at night. I also did a long walk down to Chartham through the fields & byways taking in windmills ,sheep & amazing mushrooms & lush fields & forests. On the farm you can see lots of wildlife! Buzzards and listening to the Tawny Owls late at night was lovely. I’ll be back for sure. Really amazing place to be. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a lovely short stay at Woodsell in Swallow cottage last week with our 3 year old. It felt like we were abroad without the hassle or expense! The cottage was in perfect condition and we massively over packed as the cottage was filled with pretty much everything we needed including beach towels, toiletries, books, binoculars even a small toy train set (perfect for our train obsessed toddler) The scenery is so beautiful and idilic and we spent most of our break in or around the pool! When we were leaving I asked our son if he wanted to come back here next year, he replied “no….i want to live here” 😂 we’ll definitely be back!!

We had a short break of 4 days and stayed in "Swallow", one of the cottages converted from traditional farm buildings. Despite being only 90 mins or so from SW London, the location is wonderfully quiet and felt much further afield. The conversion is to a very high standard with quality in mind and was very well equipped. There were lots of small considered offerings such as OS maps, wildlife manuals, a freezer of prepared meals, ice lollies by the pool, fresh roasted coffee beans with a decent grinder. There are plenty of trails easily accessed on foot from the farm. The 4 day break felt so much longer - this is an ideal retreat!
