East Dean sits inland from Beachy Head, surrounded by the rolling chalk landscape of the South Downs and the dramatic cliffs of the Seven Sisters. Giddy Cottage is a ground-floor property sleeping four, positioned to make the most of this setting. The two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—share a bathroom with bath and shower. A living room with French doors opens onto a patio with seating and barbecue, while the kitchen is equipped for full cooking, with electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave among its basics. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all provided.
Walking dominates the area. The South Downs Way, a 100-mile trail linking Winchester to Eastbourne, is close by; local circular routes and longer walks start from the doorstep. The village green at East Dean is a five-minute walk, lined with a pub, a deli and local restaurants. The beach is 1.4 miles away. Mountain bikers use Friston Forest, kayakers favour Cuckmere Haven, and the wider landscape attracts bird watchers during migration seasons. The cottage has parking for two cars. One dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
