Little Scarlett

Little Scarlett is a ground-floor cottage near Beachy Head, set up so you can arrive and cook straightaway. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave and fridge; there's a dining area, Smart TV for the evenings, and French doors opening to a patio with a barbecue. A double bedroom and ensuite bathroom complete the layout. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are covered, and there's a welcome pack on arrival. An external utility room (shared with other properties on site) has a washing machine and tumble dryer if you need it.

The patio gives direct access to the garden and surrounding countryside; walking routes start from the door, including circular paths and longer trails across the Downs. The coastline is 1.4 miles away. Inland, East Dean village has pubs and a deli by its green. Friston Forest suits mountain bikers, while Cuckmere Haven draws kayakers and canoeists. The South Downs Way runs nearby for those doing longer expeditions. Private parking for two cars is on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.
