From the cottage itself, footpaths lead to Orrest Head for views across the lake, and the steamer pier is nearby if you want to explore by water instead of on foot.

The cottage spreads across three floors with two bedrooms and a bathroom. Downstairs, the kitchen has a full range of appliances including a dishwasher and washer-dryer, opening onto a southwest-facing patio with garden furniture. The living room has a wood burner and a smart TV with streaming services. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with two single beds and one with a king, the latter also with a smart TV. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi are included. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

The enclosed garden and private parking for one car make this suitable for families travelling with a pet. The cottage does have narrow spiral stairs in places. No smoking throughout.
