School Knott Cottage

You step straight into the living and dining room at School Knott Cottage, where leather sofas face a large screen television and an electric fireplace. The kitchen is behind, fitted with two ovens, a hob, dishwasher and washing machine – everything needed to cook properly or simply reheat. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed and the other with two singles, plus a bathroom with a bath and shower. The cottage sleeps 4 and has one bathroom. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and electricity are all included; there is parking for one car on site.

School Knott Cottage stands in a quiet corner of Windermere village, a short walk from the shops, restaurants and lake access around Bowness. The fell footpaths that make this part of the Lake District popular with walkers start nearby – Orrest Head, famous for its views across the water, is within easy reach on foot. Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick are all accessible by car; the railway station is roughly five minutes away. A pub is within a mile. The cottage does not permit smoking.
