Cheery Nook

Cheery Nook is a converted stone barn near Matterdale End, set up to accommodate larger groups or two families comfortably. The ground floor holds the kitchen, dining space and two of the bedrooms, while upstairs centres on a living room with a woodburner. One dog is allowed. Smoking is not permitted.

Four bedrooms and three bathrooms mean sleeping arrangements are flexible: a kingsize with ensuite, two sets of single beds (one in an ensuite, one sharing the family bathroom), and a double. The kitchen is equipped to cook proper meals, with a range cooker, dishwasher and all basics provided. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. Underfloor heating and air conditioning run throughout. There is private parking for four cars and an enclosed gravelled garden with patio space.

The location suits people wanting countryside quiet within reach of the Lake District. Ullswater is three miles away, Keswick ten. The M6 is accessible for those combining a rural base with further travel.
