Cobble Rigg
Westmorland and Furness
Threlkeld sits at the foot of Blencathra in the Lake District, surrounded by walking country. The village itself has a church from 1573, two 17th-century pubs, and lies on the National Cycle Route 71, which connects the coast through Keswick and beyond. Cobble Rigg is a detached chalet-style house positioned to take in views across the fells, with footpaths leading directly onto the mountain and down into Keswick itself.
The house sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: one double and two pairs of single beds upstairs, plus a double on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room. Downstairs you'll find a living and dining room with exposed stone features, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a conservatory overlooking the garden. Essentials like electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. There are steep steps at the entrance. The enclosed garden has furniture and a sitting-out area; parking for one car is on site, and there's a bike store.
The location suits walkers and cyclists equally well, with Blencathra, Skiddaw and Latrigg all accessible from the property. A village café, pub and restaurant are 500 yards away. No smoking inside the house.
