The River Brathay runs through the grounds at Fellside, a detached stone cottage on the edge of Ambleside where fell walks, lakeside paths and Holy Trinity Church at Brathay are all within reach. The property sits at the end of a steep approach with tight bends—worth noting if your vehicle sits low to the ground.
Everything happens on the ground floor. The living room has a wood burner and Freeview; the kitchen/dining space is fully equipped for cooking, with a dishwasher and washing machine. One bedroom holds a super king bed with ensuite shower, the other a double with ensuite. A separate toilet serves the hallway. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. There is private parking for one car and a cobbled seating area outside. A shared waterside garden offers direct access to the river, though the descent is via a steep ladder. No smoking throughout.
The single-level layout suits anyone who finds stairs difficult. The riverside setting and proximity to Ambleside make this a practical base for exploring the fells or simply spending time by the water.
