Garth Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage in Threlkeld, at the foot of Blencathra, sleeping four. Everything needed for a self-catering break is provided: the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer; heating comes from oil central heating and a wood burner with fuel included; and bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered. You'll have your own entrance at ground level, with no steps.
The layout runs across a living and dining room with smart TV and wood burner, a kitchen, utility room with washing machine, and a conservatory overlooking the back garden. One bedroom holds a double bed with an ensuite shower room; the other has a zip-and-link super kingsize (which can be split into two singles). A family bathroom serves both rooms. Outside is an enclosed garden with seating, a four-person hot tub for your sole use, bike storage and parking for two cars. Smoking is not permitted.
This suits families or groups wanting a comfortable base with proper facilities and outdoor space. Threlkeld sits on the eastern edge of the Lake District, with access to fell walking and the valley floor.
