High Rake

High Rake is a traditional stone cottage standing above Glenridding, with views across Ullswater and the surrounding fells. Inside, the ground floor holds a sitting room with Freeview television, a combined kitchen and dining space with electric cooking, and a separate bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed, the other with two singles. The property sleeps four and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.

The cottage sits high on the fell side, its front garden offering a spot to sit outdoors and take in the landscape. A single step leads to the entrance. One parking space comes with the property. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all provided; the central heating runs on oil. There is no smoking inside.

From here, walking begins at the front door—Red Tarn and Helvellyn are within reach on foot. Glenridding village below has water sports available on the lake, and the Ullswater steamer runs cruises from the shore. The Lake District National Park surrounds you, and nearby Kirkstone Pass connects to Windermere and Ambleside.
