Red Barn - Pippa’s Cottage

Pippa's Cottage is a converted sandstone barn on the grounds of a former farm, originally part of the Greystoke Castle Estate. The single bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom; downstairs is an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen area, wood burner, and French doors onto a private garden. The property is yours alone, with parking for one car and a bike store on site. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wood for the burner are all provided.

The cottage suits couples and solo travellers rather than families with children. A local pub lies within a mile, and the surrounding landscape offers straightforward village walks and country lanes popular with cyclists. Ullswater is a 15–20 minute drive away, as is the Keswick area with its high fells. This is a quiet base for exploring the Lake District or simply spending time by the wood burner and garden.
