Ground-floor living space centres on a woodburner, with a kitchen equipped for self-catering; upstairs, the bedrooms are reached by spiral staircase, which means the cottage is not suitable for children under 12. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included in your stay.

The cottage sits surrounded by sheep-dotted fields and traditional stone buildings in working countryside. An enclosed garden offers a sitting-out area, and parking for up to two small cars or one larger vehicle is on site. Two pubs lie within walking distance, while the busier towns of Ambleside and Bowness are a short drive away. The building itself carries period features—low beamed ceilings, an old spice cupboard—balanced by an updated kitchen and bathroom. Fuel for the woodburner is available locally. Non-smokers only.
