The Old Coach House
Westmorland and Furness
View on Google MapsGrasmere sits at the heart of the Lake District, and The Old Coach House occupies a quiet spot three-quarters of a mile from the village centre, positioned on the slopes of Rydal Fell with access to three acres of shared grounds that include woodland and a terrace. The property is a converted apartment within a Victorian stone building, kept traditional in character but fitted with modern essentials: wifi, electric heating, bed linen and towels are all included.
The single bedroom has a kingsize bed and garden views. The living and dining areas are combined in one spacious room with large windows looking out over the grounds, furnished with a sofa, armchairs and a farmhouse table, plus a smart TV and board games. The kitchen opens onto the gardens too and is equipped for proper cooking—an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave mean you can prepare anything from breakfast to a full dinner. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle. One parking space comes with the property, and one dog or cat stays free.
The village has a pub within easy walking distance. Those arriving with pets should note there is a small unfenced pond and stream in the grounds.
