I was staying here as I had an early trip from John O'Groats the next day. I absolutely loved the house, so full of history. I was welcomed like an old family member. They had their wood burner on in July. My room was upstairs and it was classic large size. There are three family dogs and they are wonderful. Catherine is an excellent host with good stories to share. My breakfast in the morning was lovely, a very good start to a new say. Highly recommended

We stayed at the house at the front. Loved the building could be good! But very smelly when we arrived Couldn't use washing machine as had lots of hairs in it . Dog hairs on sofa! Needs a good clean. Nice large fluffy towels. There's a nice new shower room but was dirty under the plug. Sheets was crisp and clean Walk out to the house was nice . The bench outside could be put at the otherside facing the woods better view . Really liked the old features could be a lovely place.

THRUMSTER HOUSE. Great place to experience the real Scotland!!! Self Catering Air B&B but everything we needed supplied bar food, drink and transport! Plenty of large shops, pubs, Cafés, etc a few miles down the road in Wick. Plenty of trees, wildlife and views around the place. Cheap fuel in Wick too at TESCOs. Wick also has the harbour as well as many small shops. Great Place!

A beautiful home, so full of character and history. Catherine, and her Mum, are amazing hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. I will happily stay there again
